Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in October 2024 increased compared to September 2024, namely from US$996.23 million to US$1,037.40 million or an increase of 4.13 percent. Compared to October 2023, North Sumatra's exports increased by 9.39 percent.

The value of imports through North Sumatra in October 2024 on a CIF (cost, insurance & freight) basis was US$523.78 million or an increase of 14.84 percent compared to September 2024 which was valued at US$456.10 million. Compared to the same month in the previous year, the import value increased by 10.59 percent.
