Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in May 2024 increased compared to April 2024, namely from US$697.13 million to US$869.13 million or an increase of 24.67 percent. When compared with May 2023, North Sumatra's exports increased by 3.80 percent.

The value of imports via North Sumatra in May 2024 on a CIF (cost, insurance & freight) basis was US$500.61 million or an increase of 15.65 percent compared to April 2024 which was worth US$432.85 million. When compared with the same month in the previous year, the value of imports decreased by -6.29 percent.
