Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in July 2023 increased compared to June 2023, from US$900.36 million to US$970.08 million, an increase of 7.74 percent. When compared to July 2022, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 22.37 percent.

The value of imports through North Sumatra in July 2023 on a CIF (cost, insurance & freight) basis was US$566.56 million, an increase of 18.91 percent compared to June 2023 which amounted to US$476.45 million. When compared to the same month in the previous year, the value of imports decreased by 4.20 percent.
