Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in August 2023 decreased compared to July 2023, namely from US$970.08 million to US$924.97 million or a decrease of 4.65 percent. When compared with August 2022, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 31.37 percent.
The value of imports through North Sumatra in August 2023 on a CIF (cost, insurance & freight) basis was US$482.53 million or decreased by 14.83 percent compared to July 2023 which was US$566.56 million. When compared with the same month in the previous year, the value of imports decreased by 5.75 percent
