The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Toba Regency is carrying out National Labor Force Survey Field Officer Training (SAKERNAS) in February 2025 in a hybrid manner. Training starts from the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), followed by online training, then face-to-face.
The training was attended by 8 officers, consisting of 2 Supervisors (PML) and 6 Field Data Collection Officers (PPL). The MOOC will be held on 13-15 January 2025, followed by online sessions on 17, 20-21 January 2025, then face-to-face sessions on 22-23 January 2025 in the Toba Regency BPS Office Hall, with two regional instructors Marissa Sinaga and Meilani Thereza Saragih.
The training was opened by the Head of BPS Toba, Sabar Alberto Harianja. In his direction, he conveyed the importance of indicator data produced by Sakernas. He emphasized that officers should take the training seriously and carry out the entire series of data collection according to the SOP and the specified time.
Sakernas is one of the surveys conducted by BPS to provide basic sustainable employment data. Sakernas data produces important employment indicators such as working population, unemployment, underutilized labor, workers/businesses in formal activities, and other employment indicators.
The data collected in the Sakernas questionnaire includes various information, such as demographic information, education and training, migration, functional difficulties, and working conditions. With this training, officers are expected to be able to understand the concept and definition of each question in the questionnaire so that they can collect data professionally in the field to support precise and accurate employment data.
