Toba TPID Meeting Discussing TPID Roadmap 2025-2027

On Friday, December 13, 2024, BPS Toba Regency attended the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID) meeting of Toba Regency which took place in the Toba Regent's Expert Staff room. BPS Toba Regency was represented by the Head of BPS Toba Regency, Sabar Alberto Harianja, accompanied by the price statistics team, Postel Tampubolon, and Astrid Cindy Astria Pangaribuan. This meeting was held in relation to the discussion of the TPID roadmap 2025-2027 and the preparation of the 2025 Toba Regency TPID Team Decree as a follow-up to the results of the North Sumatra TPID roadmap meeting. The discussion of this roadmap focused on strategic programs and work programs that will be implemented in the inflation control strategy, namely 4K which includes Supply Availability, Price Affordability, Smooth Distribution, and Effective Communication. The Agriculture Service, as one of the parties responsible for the supply availability strategy, conveyed several planned work programs, such as pumping irrigation, procurement of seeds and seedlings, and training in making organic fertilizer for farmers. In the price affordability strategy, the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade, and Industry Service conveyed its work program, namely the Cheap Market Operation which was previously carried out ahead of religious holidays, namely Christmas and Eid. In the next implementation, the cheap market operation is expected to be more targeted because it has a great impact on the community.

This meeting also discussed the obstacles and challenges faced so far as well as solutions that can be carried out in implementing the next programs. At the end of the meeting, BPS conveyed its position as an independent institution that plays a role in providing input and providing data related to regional inflation control. The Head of BPS Toba Regency gave advice to the Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, Trade, and Industry Service to submit price data for 20 basic commodities every week in the TPID forum.
