Statistical guidance is one of the efforts to implement the Coordination, Integration, Synchronization, and Standardization (KISS) aspects in providing statistical data and information. In line with this, in the implementation of One Data Indonesia (SDI), BPS plays a role as a Statistical Data Supervisor who has an important role in overseeing each data producer to produce quality sectoral statistical data to answer various development challenges.
The Head of BPS Toba Regency, Sabar Alberto Harianja together with the team coordinated the implementation of the FGD for the Preparation of the 2025 Toba in Figures Publication, preparations for the implementation of the Toba Regency Sectoral Statistics Guidance (PESTA Toba) Series #2 and the appointment of the Beautiful Village 2025. The BPS team consisted of Postel Tampubolon, Eirene Debora Simanullang and Valentina Samosir. The team was received directly by the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Toba Regency, Augus Sitorus at the Sekda Office on Tuesday, (11/02/2025). The Sekda was accompanied by the Head of the Communication and Informatics Service (Kominfo), Sesmon TB Butarbutar, the Head of the Village Community Empowerment, Women and Child Protection Service (PMDP2A), Rafles Sergius Gultom, and the Head of Balige District, Partogi Ihutan Tambunan.
In this discussion, Sabar Alberto Harianja said that the FGD for the Preparation of the Toba in Figures 2025 Publication and PESTA Toba Series #2 will be held on February 17, 2025 at the Toba Regent's Office Hall. FGD DDA and PESTA Toba Series #2 will be attended by all Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), the purpose of this activity is to finalize the input (validation) of sectoral data from each OPD and improve literacy and competence of Human Resources (HR) within the Toba Regency Government in order to produce quality sectoral data.
The Head of BPS Toba Regency also conveyed to the Regional Secretary regarding the appointment of Beautiful Village in 2025. The Beautiful Village Program has become a BPS Quick Wins and a target for BPS Bureaucratic Reform (RB) assessment every year since 2021. In 2025, the Beautiful Village program is directed to continue to be implemented amidst budget efficiency. In supporting the implementation of the Beautiful Village Program 2025, BPS Regency/City is expected to collaborate with the Regional Government. At the meeting, the proposal for Beautiful Village 2025 was Sianipar Sihail Hail Village in Balige District. Before the Beautiful Village development is carried out in April, an MoU/Memorandum of Understanding will be signed, as a commitment from the Toba Regency BPS with the Toba Regency Government in an effort to improve statistical literacy in village government.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the Regional Secretary discussed with the Head of the Toba Regency BPS regarding the provision of data starting from the village level. The Head of the Communication and Informatics Service (Kominfo), welcomed this idea and was willing to facilitate a meeting of village officials via zoom in order to increase the capacity of village officials as a form of sectoral statistical development. Before ending the meeting, the Regional Secretary said that collaboration and innovation are important elements to support statistical progress in Toba Regency amidst the discourse on budget efficiency.
