FGD on Preparation of KHLS RPJMD Toba Regency 2025-2029

On Thursday, October 31, 2024, at 10:00 WIB – 13:00 WIB, the Head of BPS Toba Regency, Sabar Alberto Harianja, attended the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) Meeting of the Working Group for the Preparation of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (KLHS) for the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD Toba Regency 2025-2029. The event was held in the Expert Staff Meeting Room of the Toba Regent's Office, 4th floor. The Head of BPS Toba was accompanied by Willyater Panjaitan, First Expert Statistician, and Mangihut Pemimpin Aritonang as the Implementer. This meeting aims to monitor the completeness of data and discussions in formulating strategic issues from each pillar. There are four pillars of the KLHS RPJMD Toba 2025-2029, namely: Social, Economic, Environmental and Legal and Governance. The Strategic Environmental Assessment is to ensure that the principles of sustainable development have become the basis and are integrated in the development of a region. One of them is the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan document (RPJMD).

The event was opened by the Acting Regent of Toba who was represented by the Head of the Environmental Service, dr. Rajaipan O. Sinurat, M.Kes. The event resource person, Sondang Simamora, presented a presentation related to monitoring data availability and strategic issue formulation plans. Various inputs were given by participants to improve the KLHS Report of the Toba Regency RPJMD 2025-2029.

On this occasion, the Head of the Toba Regency BPS, Sabar Alberto Harianja, conveyed the strategic issue of poverty. The availability of sectoral statistics is a challenge in the availability of quality sectoral statistical data. This is a full concern for Bapelitbangda as the One Data Coordinator in Toba, the Communication and Informatics Service as the Data Guardian and BPS Toba as the Data Supervisor to continue to improve statistical development in Toba Regency.
