Regional Coordination Meeting ST2023 and Evaluation of Agricultural Economic Survey Activities 2024

BPS Toba Regency attended the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) ST2023 and Evaluation of Agricultural Economic Survey Activities (SEP) 2024 organized by BPS North Sumatra Province at Mikie Holiday Resort & Hotel Berastagi, Tuesday (10/22). BPS Toba is one of the Rakorda participants from 32 BPS Regencies/Cities. BPS Toba sent 16 participants, namely the Head of BPS Regency, Team Leader, Production Statistics Team, IPDS Team, Financial Manager, and Acting Public Relations.

The Rakorda was opened by the Expert Staff of the Governor of North Sumatra for Economics, Development, Assets, and Natural Resources, Manna Wasalwa Lubis. In her remarks, Mrs. Manna hoped that the data produced could provide a real picture of the agricultural sector in North Sumatra. So that it can be the basis for formulating inclusive and sustainable agricultural policies. Meanwhile, the Head of the North Sumatra BPS, Asim Saputra, said that various indicators can be produced from the SEP as a reference for policies, so that in the future North Sumatra can become the backbone of the Indonesian economy in accordance with the President's vision. In addition, several achievements were also conveyed by statisticians in the North Sumatra BPS Provincial environment as well as efforts to improve public services both in terms of facilities and infrastructure.

Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs of the Regional Secretary of Karo Regency, Drs. Dapat Kita Sinulingga, also gave a welcome speech. He hopes that this coordination meeting will be an important forum to strengthen the synergy between the Provincial BPS, Regency/City BPS and related stakeholders to formulate strategic solutions.

In the talk show session, three speakers presented themes related to agriculture, namely the Strategy for Implementing the 2024 Agricultural Economic Survey Activities of the Nias Regency BPS which won second place nationally in the implementation of the SEP by the Head of the Nias Regency BPS, Puguh Setiandono; Livestock Development Policy in Sustainable Agriculture by the Head of the Livestock Division of the Plantation and Livestock Service of North Sumatra Province, Azhadi Halomoan; and the Role of Millennial Farmers in Sustainable Development to Support Indonesia Emas 2045 by the Millennial Farmer Ambassador of the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, M. Bobby Ramadhana. This session was moderated by the Head of BPS Toba Regency, Sabar Alberto Harianja. Horas.
