The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Toba Regency held an Evaluation Meeting for the Implementation of the Beautiful Villages/Sub-districts Program (Love Statistics) of Toba Regency in 2024. This activity took place on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the Lumban Dolok Hauma Bange Village Office. The event was attended by the Head of BPS Toba Regency together with the BPS Beautiful Village team, the Village Head along with the village staff, representatives of the Toba Regency Communication and Information Service, representatives of Balige District, and a number of local community leaders.
In his remarks, Sabar Alberto Harianja, Head of BPS Toba Regency, appreciated the Village Head Lasma F. Simanjuntak and all employees of Lumban Dolok Hauma Bange Village for their dedication as the Love Statistics Village of Toba Regency 2024. He emphasized that a series of coaching activities had been carried out to improve statistical literacy among village officials. Sabar Harianja hopes that this program can provide real benefits and continue to be developed in other villages in Toba Regency.
Lamtiur Debataraja, Head of Statistics and Encryption Division of the Communication and Information Service, emphasized the importance of accurate data in supporting decision-making at the regional apparatus level. He identified a number of challenges, such as a shortage of workers, geographical constraints, and the need for better collaboration between agencies. The Communication and Information Service hopes that the Beautiful Village program can be expanded to other villages with more intensive assistance, so that awareness of the importance of data increases at all levels of government.
Ganda Simanjuntak, Head of the Village Government and Community Empowerment Section (PPMD) of Balige District, appreciated the Beautiful Village/Sub-district Program which encourages the availability of accurate and relevant data. He highlighted the need for up-to-date data to support development, the role of data in decision-making, and the importance of village and sub-district apparatus participation in presenting complete data. Ganda hopes that this program will become a model that can be applied in other areas in Toba Regency to accelerate data-based development.
Ferry Pardede, a Toba community figure, also shared his views on the challenges of data collection in the field, such as limited resources and budget. He emphasized that data collection requires not only the involvement of government agencies, but also active participation from the community. Ferry emphasized that budget support and cooperation from all parties are needed to ensure accurate and reliable data collection.
Through this evaluation meeting, BPS Toba Regency hopes that the Beautiful Village/Sub-district program can further strengthen statistical data management at the village and sub-district levels, thereby supporting sustainable and data-based development. Horas.
