Implementation of Sectoral Statistics and Launching of Integrity Zone Development Towards Corruption-Free Areas

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, BPS Toba Regency held a meeting on the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics and Launching of Integrity Zone Development Towards Corruption-Free Areas (WBK) at Gemma Hotel, Balige. This activity was attended by the Acting Regent of Toba, Forkopimda Toba Regency, Regional Secretary, Assistants, Heads of Regional Apparatus of Toba Regency, and ASN BPS Toba Regency.

The Head of BPS Toba Regency, Sabar Alberto Harianja, S.Si, MM, in his report stated that the purpose of this event was to socialize sectoral statistics activities and convey the results of the development of sectoral statistics development in Toba Regency. This event also aims to declare the development of an integrity zone to increase organizational capacity and accountability, build an agency that is clean and free from corruption, collusion and nepotism, and improve the quality of public services within BPS Toba Regency. The Head of BPS Toba Regency also reported several progress activities of the Development of Integrity Zone and Bureaucratic Reform at BPS Toba Regency, such as the tagline of BPS Toba Regency "Definitely Better", morning prayer together, application innovation, achievements, change management, governance and HR arrangements, and strengthening accountability, supervision, and quality of public services.

Acting Regent of Toba, Dr. Agustinus Panjaitan, S.SiT, M.T, gave a speech and appreciated the implementation of this activity. The Acting Regent of Toba hopes that the Regional Apparatus within the Toba Regency Government together with BPS Toba will be able to provide quality, fast, and diverse sectoral statistical data as a basis for policy making and government programs in Toba Regency. In addition, the Acting Regent also gave full support to BPS's steps in achieving Bureaucratic Reform through the Development of Integrity Zone (ZI) Towards a Corruption-Free Area.

On this occasion, the report on the results of the Evaluation of the Implementation of Sectoral Statistics (EPSS) of Toba Regency in 2024 was submitted to the Acting Regent and Regional Secretary of Toba Regency. And continued with the signing of the Charter for the Launch of the Development of the Integrity Zone by the Head of BPS Toba Regency which was witnessed by the Acting Regent of Toba, Forkopimda, Regional Secretary and several representatives of regional apparatus within the Toba Regency Government. On this occasion, the committee gave rewards to participants who came on time and were loyal until the end of the event. The fastest to arrive was the Secretary of Bapelitbangda, Jhonson Sirait, followed by the Balige District Court, Daniel Hutapea and Gibson Sitinjak from Bapelitbangda Toba.

The launch of the Development of the Integrity Zone towards WBK is a form of commitment from all ASN BPS Toba Regency to realize an area free from corruption, free from extortion and rejecting gratification in order to realize work behavior in accordance with the tagline of BPS Toba Regency, namely "Definitely Better".

The highlight of this event was the presentation of the resource person, from the Secretary of Toba Regency, Drs. Augus Sitorus and Head of BPS Toba, Sabar Alberto Harianja. The event was moderated by Martina Situmorang, Senior Statistician, BPS Toba. August Sitorus appeared as the first resource person with the title "Implementation of Sectoral Statistics of Toba Regency". The second resource person was the Head of BPS Toba with the title "Implementation of Sectoral Statistics and Macro Indicators of Toba". In the Q&A discussion, there were 3 questioners, namely: Tesalonika Lumban Gaol from the Toba Agriculture Service, Januar Butar-Butar from the Toba PUTR Service and Freddi S. Sibarani from the Toba Health Service.
