Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in March 2023 decreased compared to February 2023, namely from US$918.41 million to US$910.39 million or decreased by 0.87 percent. When compared to March 2022, North Sumatra's exports decreased by 28.07 percent.

The value of imports through North Sumatra in March 2023 on a CIF (cost, insurance & freight) basis was US$516.57 million, an increase of 37.32 percent compared to February 2023 which amounted to US$376.18 million. When compared to the same month in the previous year, the value of imports decreased by 8.40 percent.
