Abstract

The value of exports through loading ports in the North Sumatra region in May 2023 increased compared to April 2023, from US$698.02 million to US$837.30 million, an increase of 19.95 percent. When compared to May 2022, North Sumatra's exports have increased by 9.90 percent. The value of imports through North Sumatra in May 2023 on a CIF (cost, insurance & freight) basis was US$534.19 million, an increase of 36.27 percent compared to April 2023 which amounted to US$392.01 million. When compared to the same month in the previous year, the value of imports increased by 0.48 percent.
