Mapping and updating activities Statistical Working Area SP2020 are conducted for 1 (one) month from 22 April - 22 May 2019 simultaneously in all regions of Indonesia. This activity aims to develop a master framework to meet the needs of BPS census and survey activities using various statistical methods.
Toba Samosir Regency area which consists of 16 sub-districts, 244 villages / kelurahan with an area of around 2,021.8 km2 was worked by 87 officers consisting of 67 mapping officers and 20 supervisory officers. This activity will produce a village map and a hamlet map which is a statistical work area. This map also has a lot of information, both in the form of village boundaries, hamlet boundaries, and also infrastructure.
Mapping activities and updating Statistics work SP2020 area are carried out by using an application built by BPS by summarizing various information by storing the results of tracking during regional tracking and also storing photos as boundaries and existing infrastructure in an area. The results obtained from this field activity will be carried out later in digital processing. This activity is expected to bring more improvement, especially for regional searches that are increasingly clear and help many things in statistical activities (both census and survey).
Field conditions that are difficult to reach, uncertain weather, the extent of the area covered, even the density of infrastructure is not a barrier / obstacle for officers to build better information and statistics.
