Abstract

The number of domestic passengers arriving in North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport in October 2024 reached 183,763 people, or down 10.84 percent compared to the previous month which was 206,099 people.

The number of air passengers to foreign destinations, both using national and foreign flights, in October 2024 fell by 6.99 percent compared to September 2024, from 95,557 people to 88,873 people.

The number of inter-island sea transportation passengers (domestic) departing from Belawan Port in October 2024 was recorded at 3,487 people, or down 24.28 percent compared to the previous month which was 4,605 people. Meanwhile, the number of passengers arriving in October 2024 was recorded at 2,884 people, or down 30.34 percent compared to the previous month which was 4,140 people.

During October 2024, inter-island freight transportation for loading activities at Belawan Port reached 47,780 tons, or an increase of 10.69 percent compared to September 2024 which amounted to 43,166 tons. Meanwhile, unloading activities in October 2024 fell by 8.36 percent, from 499,301 tons in September 2024 to 457,548 tons in October 2024.
