Abstract

The poverty rate in Toba Regency increased by 0.03 percentage points, from 8.04 percent in March 2023 to 8.07 percent in March 2024. This poverty rate is equivalent to 15.03 thousand people in March 2024, or an increase of around 90 people.

The Poverty Line in March 2024 was recorded at IDR 531,581 per capita per month, an increase of 6.97 percent compared to March 2023. This increase is above the average increase in North Sumatra of 6.54 percent.

In the period March 2023 - March 2024, both the Poverty Depth Index (P1) and the Poverty Severity Index (P2) decreased. P1 in March 2023 was 1.02, dropping to 0.89 in March 2024, while P2 in March 2023 was 0.18, dropping to 0.17 in March 2024.
