Abstract

The number of domestic passengers coming to North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport in January 2024 reached 198,706 people, or down 22.04 percent compared to the previous month of 254,894 people.

The number of air transport passengers to foreign destinations, both using national and foreign flights, in January 2024 increased by 1.75 percent compared to December 2023, namely from 90,288 people to 91,868 people.

The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing from Belawan Harbor in January 2024 was recorded at 26,142 people, an increase of 88.87 percent compared to the previous month of 13,841 people, while the number of passengers arriving in January 2024 was recorded at 13,541 people, or down 39.61 percent compared to the previous month of 22,421 people.

During January 2024, inter-island goods transportation for loading activities amounted to 8,841 tonnes, or a decrease of 65.81 percent compared to December 2023 of 25,857 tonnes.

Goods unloading activities in January 2024 increased by 30.07 percent, from 421,362 tons in December 2023 to 548,045 tons in January 2024.
