Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in September 2023 reached 15,864 visits, while in August 2023 there were 20,941 foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

For the January - September 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra increased by 349.07 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, namely from 33,231 visits in January - September 2022, it rose to 149,232 visits in the 2023 period.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Sumatra in September 2023 averaged 46.39 percent, or down 0.47 points compared to August 2023 of 46.86 percent.

The average length of stay for foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.48 days during September 2023, down 0.02 points compared to August 2023 of 1.50 days.
