Abstract

The number of domestic passengers coming to North Sumatra through Kualanamu International Airport in August 2023 reached 215,767 people, or down 13.50 percent compared to the previous month of 249,438 people.

The number of air transport passengers to foreign destinations, both using national and foreign flights, in August 2023 increased by 3.16 percent compared to July 2023, namely from 74,247 people to 76,590 people.

The number of inter-island (domestic) sea transportation passengers departing from Belawan Harbor in August 2023 was recorded at 10,709 people, down 15.10 percent compared to the previous month of 12,613 people, while the number of passengers arriving in August 2023 was recorded at 8,772 people, or down 10.48 percent compared to the previous month of 9,799 people.

During August 2023, inter-island freight transportation for goods loading activities amounted to 6,822 tonnes, or a decrease of 50.29 percent compared to July 2023 of 13,724 tonnes.
