Abstract

The number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting North Sumatra through 4 (four) entrances in August 2023 reached 20,941 visits, while in July 2023 there were 17,612 foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra.

For the January - August 2023 period, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Sumatra increased by 387.88 percent when compared to the same period in 2022, namely from 27,336 visits in January - August 2022, increasing to 133,368 visits in the 2023 period.

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in North Sumatra in August 2023 averaged 46.86 percent, or down 3.15 points compared to July 2023 of 50.01 percent.

The average length of stay for foreign guests and Indonesian guests at star-rated hotels was 1.50 days during August 2023, down 0.31 points compared to July 2023 of 1.81 days.
