Balige, February 12, 2026 - Taking place in the Data Center Room on the 4th floor of the Toba Regent's Office, the BPS-Statistics Toba Regency held a Focus Group Discussion with the theme: "Strengthening Data Governance and Public Service Standards to Achieve an Accountable and Data-Driven Toba Regency." This activity aimed to identify and inventory sectoral statistical activities carried out by regional government agencies, support the preparation of the 2026 Toba Regency in Figures Publication, and encourage more effective collaboration in realizing One Data for Toba Regency.


The event was opened by the Regent of Toba, represented by the Deputy Regent, Drs. Audi Murphy O. Sitorus, SH, M.Si. In his remarks, he stated that data synergy between the Regional Government and BPS is key to realizing One Data Indonesia for Toba Regency and accelerating regional economic development. He also expressed his full support for the dissemination of the 2026 Economic Census and urged attendees to actively participate in the 2026 Economic Census in Toba Regency.


During this event, the Head of the BPS-Statistics Toba Regency, Sabar Alberto Harianja, delivered a presentation on "Public Services, Sectoral Statistics Development, and the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026)." In this presentation, he emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination across all agencies in Toba Regency to strengthen the sectoral statistics administration system, thereby increasing capacity and understanding regarding sectoral statistical data management.


The second presentation was delivered by Eirene Debora Simanullang, SST, a Young Expert Statistician at the BPS-Statistics Toba Regency, on "Preparing the 2026 Toba Regency Publication in Figures." This presentation emphasized the importance of accurate and reliable data as the basis for formulating appropriate, effective, and sustainable policies and development programs. This activity is expected to provide all participants with information and a unified understanding, enabling them to implement it in their respective work units to improve the quality of sectoral statistical data in Toba Regency. This session validated incoming data from each Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD). The presentation was moderated by the Head of the Toba Communications and Information Agency, Sesmon Butar Butar.


At the end of the event, the committee awarded prizes to participants who arrived on time and followed through to the end. These included participants from IT Del and the OPD with the best speed and completeness of data submission, the Toba Health Agency.


During the event, the minutes of the BPS-Statistics Toba Regency service standards were signed by representatives of NGOs, the press, lecturers, students, two OPDs, and the Head of BPS-Statistics Toba Regency. The event was closed by the Head of the Toba Research and Development Agency (Bapelitbangda), Sofian Sitorus.
