Services Production Balance Quarterly Special Survey (SKTNP) 2020

GDP / GRDP data is one of the economic indicators that has been regularly published by BPS every quarter. In the preparation of GDP / PDRB, various data are required, such as production data / production indicators, price data / price indicators and cost structure data. However, in reality, the availability of these data for the quarterly period has not been fulfilled, especially data on the service business sector. Therefore, in 2020, the Directorate of Production Accounts will carry out the Service Production Balance Quarterly Special Survey (SKTNP) to meet the needs for quarterly GDP data, especially the Service business field.

 In 2020, the Service Production Balance Quarterly Special Survey (SKTNP), which is a continuation of the 2019 Service Production Balance Quarterly Special Survey (SKTNP), is being carried out again considering the need for quarterly data is urgent and very much needed. SKTNP Services for the 2020 fiscal year are divided into 4 (four) stages of implementation. Phase one is held in January, stage two in April, stage three in July, and phase four in October.

Business activities that will be the object of research are Other Accommodation Services; Private Education Services; Private Hospital and Clinic Services; Private Entertainment and Recreation Services; Accountant or Architectural Activity; Programming Activities, Computer Consulting, and Information Services; Travel Agency or Travel Agency; and Computer, Electronic Equipment and Furniture Repair. This activity is selected based on the priority scale of the need for quarterly production indicator data for the preparation of GDP, which is still not regularly available. Business activities that are the main focus of the 2020 Service Production Balance Sheet (SKTNP) Special Survey are business activities engaged in the service business, especially those that do not yet have routine production indicators in the preparation of quarterly GDP. Production indicators will be obtained by looking at the development of the company / business. The companies / businesses that are selected as samples will be surveyed during the four census periods in one year of activity.

The number of samples of SKTNP Services in 2020 for the fourth quarter at BPS Toba Regency is 4 (four). The survey results are expected to obtain the latest and fastest information in the form of quantity data regarding production indicators and quarterly price indicators for service business fields. Evaluation of study results will be carried out for the development of further surveys.
